Over the last few years, I’ve mostly worked on software that has to work in real organizations: enterprise modernization projects, internal platforms, data-heavy systems, and products that need to deliver value beyond a demo.
My work sits somewhere between product engineering and systems thinking. I enjoy understanding how a system fits together and building software that makes those systems simpler rather than more complicated. Recently, much of that work has focused on AI products and the engineering challenges of turning promising prototypes into production systems.
I’m not particularly attached to any language or framework. What keeps me interested is solving difficult problems, building software that lasts, and leaving systems easier to understand than I found them.
Outside engineering, I write as a freelance journalist about software engineering and enjoy turning complex topics into something approachable without oversimplifying them. I also spend a lot of time powerlifting, so that I don’t fully succumb to the sedentary lifestyle of a software engineer.
